Last Week in Copenhagen!

I'm sitting here writing this post with my things strewn across my room in an attempt at packing and two days left in Copenhagen. This past week and weekend I tried to make the most of my last few days by hitting up some of the popular tourist spots. The Christmas Markets here are absolutely incredible. I've walked through them more times than I can count and become more and more obsessed every time I see the twinkling lights and Christmas trees.

On Saturday, I met up with Chidinma, a friend from my summer in Mount Vernon, and we grabbed lunch at Bar Burrito before heading to the Design Museum Denmark. I've heard so many great things about the museum and they offer free admittance for students! The museum was really cool. They had an entire exhibit on the evolution on Danish fashion! I loved it. They also had another exhibit on different Danish chairs. Scandinavian design is so unique and it was super interesting to learn about. For dinner, I met up with Sally and her roommate for dinner and then a night in the city. Our night out got cut quite short because I realized all of the trains to Borup were cancelled after midnight.

Sunday morning I slept in to catch up on sleep and then started packing. I've accumulated quite a lot of stuff since being here, so I have to really strategize how to arranged my suit cases. Sunday night I headed into the city to see the Danish Royal Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker! It was incredible. I absolutely love the Nutcracker and had so much fun watching the Danish Royal Ballet. The Royal Theater is incredible even from the third level of the balcony! The Danish people love Christmas more than I do, so it was such a great experience to get to celebrate with them.

Monday and Tuesday I just studied because I had a final Wednesday morning. After the final, we headed to St. Peter's for one last cinnamon roll of the semester. The Wednesday cinnamon rolls are one thing that I will definitely miss. The rest of the weekend will be spent packing and hanging out before my 19 hour adventure home on Saturday!

Love,
